The wildlife garden would be little without plants. All the creatures in your garden are dependent on plants. This dependency may be immediately apparent, such as the caterpillars of the Large White devouring cabbage plants and nasturtiums, or indirect such as blackbirds and thrushes eating the earthworms that feed on plant leaves.

As well as being a food source, plants provide shelter from the elements and can be an excellent place to breed for many wild garden inhabitants.
